Elephant Family USA will guide a herd of 100 life size Indian elephant sculptures across America, and together with elephant-loving British beachwear label LOVE BRAND & Co as their chosen retail partner, aims to raise millions for conservation efforts around the world.

LOVE BRAND & Co. is thrilled to announce their partnership with Elephant Family USA as  Official Retail Partner  of  The Great Elephant Migration   USA  and  Proud Sponsor  of the inaugural exhibition at Newport R.I.

The journey follows an expansive UK tour in 2021, which attracted 5 million spectators and marks the first time the traveling public art exhibition and fundraising initiative will arrive in America.

Starting in Newport (RI), the 3,500-mile migration will take the elephant sculptures to New York City, Miami, Blackfeet Nation, Buffalo Pastures in Browning, Montana, and Los Angeles.

Promising to spread joy and wonder wherever they travel, Elephant Family have chosen to partner with the environmentally friendly and prestigious beachwear brand LOVE BRAND & Co. to further amplify The Great Elephant Migration as it journeys across the USA. Since day one, LOVE BRAND & Co. have been on a mission to help elephants and other endangered species; redefining beachwear with purpose. Having supported Elephant Family in London for over a decade, LOVE BRAND & Co. is delighted to join Elephant Family in the USA as Official Retail Partner of The Great Elephant Migration. Their capsule collection of merchandise is available to purchase online and at each location, with 50% of sales directly donated to Elephant Family USA and its cause to promote human-wildlife coexistence.

Highlights from this exclusive collection include three beautiful new linen prints, block printed on Belgian linen and stitched in India with patterns to reflect some of the wildlife and habitats The Great Elephant Migration seeks to help protect. Available in an array of clothing and homewares, visitors of the exhibition's 'Elephant Shop' by LOVE BRAND & Co. will also be able to choose from Official 'GEM' embroidered caps, t-shirts and hoodies, tote bags, greetings cards, children’s toys and collectable animal enamel pins. While not every visitor will be able to bring home an iconic elephant sculpture, LOVE BRAND & Co. has made sure to create something special for everyone to remember the exhibition by.

Reflecting on the incredible journey LOVE BRAND & Co. and Elephant Family are embarking upon, LOVE BRAND & CO.’s Founder & CEO, Oliver Tomalin says:

'There is so much splendor and magic to The Great Elephant Migration. The important message of sharing space with wildlife. Fundraising for elephants and all wonderous wild animals. The artisanal artistry and community spirit behind making the sculptures that are so anatomically accurate. The sustainable and innovative use of the invasive Lantana weed. And of course the exhibit itself, 100 life-size elephants set in the most amazing gardens, cities, beaches and mountains of America. It's bonkers, breathtaking and completely brilliant.'

In addition to Official Retail Partner, LOVE BRAND & Co. is the proud sponsor of The Great Elephant Migration’s Newport exhibition and will be based in a beautiful Indian tent in the coastal grounds of Salve Regina University from the 4th July - 4th September 2024 (10am - 6pm daily.)

Each elephant in the 100-strong herd has been created by The Coexistence Collective, a community of 200 indigenous artisans from communities in India’s Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, Tamil Nadu. The collective has recreated every elephant they live alongside using one of the world’s top invasive weeds, Lantana camara, which encroaches upon over 40% of India's protected areas. Each elephant is twinned with a conservation NGO in the USA and beyond, whose work will directly benefit from the sale of their sculpture.

“In the last 40 years, the human population of India has doubled to 1.4 billion, which has coincided with an increase in the number of elephants, rhinos, lions, and tigers in the country,” says Coexistence Collective Co-Founder and Elephant Family Trustee Ruth Ganesh. “The extraordinary success of this compassionate coexistence is a testament to the power of collective empathy. Our magnificent herd is here to tell its story, inspiring the human race to share space and be part of this transformative movement.”

An unmissable moment if traveling in the USA this summer, LOVE BRAND & Co. is excited to welcome visitors to their store and the exhibition, coming together to support peaceful coexistence for the benefit of future generations.

LOVE BRAND & Co.’s merchandise will be available online and in store in Newport R.I from the 4th July. For more information about The Great Elephant Migration or to donate and buy one of the elephant sculptures , please visit www.thegreatelephantmigration.org

About LOVE BRAND & Co.

This is a love story. A love of island life, nature, wildlife, travel, adventure, and family forms the bedrock of LOVE BRAND & Co. Established in 2010 as a portal to island living, the founders, Oliver and Rose Tomalin, created the authority in resort wear for the discerning traveler.

Living in the Bahamas with a long family history in the islands has given LOVE BRAND & Co. the advantage in mastering island style. Refined over a decade, the brand offers a wide range of men’s and children’s resort wear. Produced in Europe; using only natural or recycled fabrics with an uncompromising attention to detail, focus on eco-conscious provenance and functional design.

About Elephant Family

Elephant Family is committed to building landscapes that support human-wildlife coexistence As human populations expand and natural habitats shrink, people and animals are fighting a deadly battle for food and space. We support a wide range of projects that find ways for humans and animals to live closer together than ever before. From securing a network of wildlife corridors which act as bridges between islands of forests, to relocating busy highways that slice through primary forest, these projects help humans and wildlife more effectively share space.

About The Coexistence Collective

The Coexistence Collective is a community of 200 indigenous artisans from the Bettakurumba, Paniya, Kattunayakan and Soliga communities of India’s Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, Tamil Nadu. The collective has spent the past five years replicating every elephant they live alongside in intricately detailed sculptural form. Like many indigenous cultures around the world, these communities have extensive knowledge of nature and wildlife based on generations of observation and experience.
